Operation GOTCHA
Pine Rivers Special School students are doing their part to help those less fortunate through Operation GOTCHA – Getting Out There, Community and Homeless 
Assistance.
In collaboration with our local neighbourhood centres and Oz Harvest who support our school programs, students are helping the less fortunate through food and produce donations as well as meal deliveries. The school gardening program (Years 6-12) harvests fresh organic produce while teaching the basics of horticulture. Packaged meals designed with this fresh produce and donations, are prepared within the daily cookery programs within the Secondary Schooling.
From the garden to the kitchen, volunteering is prosperous, with community partnerships reporting that the giving spirit has never been more alive than it is now within Operation GOTCHA. By providing real life opportunities for students, GOTCHA fosters success, creates satisfaction and adds value to the lives of participants, as they give to others.
